Diver at the Yongala shipwreck

Diving and snorkelling

The Whitsunday Islands are surrounded in fringing reefs, shallow diving and rich in diversity. Just 16nm offshore is the outer barrier reef, big marine life and big drop offs. We can organise tours to the world famous Yongala shipwreck dive, a 109m steamship that sank in a cyclone in 1911, now covered in coral and surrounded in life. If you want to see BIG marine life and lots of it, this is the dive for you. Expect to see sharks, stingrays, turtles, huge grouper and sea snakes.

During our 2 month season in the Whitsundays WSYS helped Big Fish immensely with our planning and last minute unforeseens. Dan was attentive, timely and always present throughout our stay. Bills were refreshingly reasonable and nothing was too hard. Definitely one of our most pleasant agent experiences worldwide

As first time visitors to the Whitsunday’s region, WSYS were an essential source for our cruising plans in the area. Their support started long before our arrival and continued throughout, from pre-trip provisioning & guest entertainment to emergency engineering repairs & servicing, solutions were met promptly and professionally at all times. I would have no hesitation to recommend Dan and his team to any other yacht’s visiting their shores.

As a local 44 metre vessel who travels the pacific and east coast I still found the need for assistance and Dan and his WSYS team were exceptional in assisting  from supplies to setting up fishing charters last minute and supplying expert advice on the local anchorages and weather. I highly recommend using them and will be again on our next visit.

Dan and Jennie at WSYS were of extremely valuable assistance during our time in the Whitsundays. From the sourcing of parts and services, through to seamless collection and delivery of perishables and food products to Hamilton Island, they made our short turn arounds between trips smooth and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble and his local knowledge was a huge help. I highly recommend WSYS for any number of yachting requirements.
